Tap is a fantastic element to include in your child’s dance training, prevalent in a range of musicals and found in shows throughout the world it teaches rhythm, musicality and style. With so many tap styles students experience and learn different rhythms and styles such as waltz, tango, samba, street and theatrical, a great addition to their existing repertoire!

ABOUT THE SYLLABUS
CSTD is an internationally recognized syllabi which provides examinations from tinies through to teacher certification in all genres of dance. In the Tap branch students can progress from Preliminary Tap through to Advanced Gold Star and then complete a teacher's certificate, this is a fantastic way to consolidate their training and to provide the students with a nationally recognized
qualification prior to graduating school. This also provides students with the opportunity to work globally and creates yet another path in an ever changing industry. This syllabus provides clear progressions for students, teaches tap technique, musicality, timing, rhythm improves technique, coordination and style.

LYRICAL
AGES 6+
Lyrical builds on a strong classical foundation and is a flowing expressive style. Young children love dancing to popular songs such as Disney hits and learning to create different shapes and expressing emotion through movement.
CONTEMPORARY
AGES 6+
Contemporary, similar to lyrical builds on a strong classical foundation however incorporates stronger sharper movements and a strong sense of musicality and dynamics.
