WHY CHOOSE CONTEMPORARY & LYRICAL?
Kids contemporary and lyrical classes at Beats Per Minute on the Sunshine Coast focus on expression through movement. Children will learn both lyrical and contemporary in our junior age groups with these becoming separate classes for our senior students. Lyrical is a beautiful fusion of ballet and expressive movement which explores line, rhythm and connection to the lyrics. Contemporary explores strong, dynamic movements and individual expression.
Junior students can take lyrical and contemporary as an introduction to dance, allowing them to explore the fundamentals of lyrical technique and develop confidence in a safe and encouraging environment.
Senior students can undertake contemporary examinations through Comdance, in the Jason Winters Contemporary Syllabus they can also choose the Contemporary stream in our Part Time Nationally Accredited Qualifications.
