Students work with highly qualified teachers and we are proud to be able to provide students with multiple assistant teachers in every class! These assistant teachers have attained a range of qualifications and are working towards gaining more! 📚✅ Assistant teachers help students to build meaningful connections, build confidence, build a sense of community and play a very important role as incredible role models to young students providing inspiration and support to our tiny dancers. 💫
The fundamentals of dance and strong dance technique are being laid down for the successful performer of the future! The children love these delightful classes as they learn high quality dance as well as singing, acrobatics, hip hop and aerial!
Our JUNIOR BPM students attending twice a week will be offered a RAD Ballet examination and a CSTD ‘Modern Jazz’ and 'Tap' examination as well as an Acrobatic Arts exam.
Optional Acrobatics classes are wonderful for developing strong, limbered bodies, as well as the basics for all skills as they get older. Students train with highly qualified teachers who all hold qualifications in Acrobatic Arts. Junior singing introduces pitch training, basic harmonies, speech articulation and confidence, this is where our BPM performers shine! Hip Hop is an all time favourite, with the students learning all the latest and age appropriate HIP HOP moves. This high energy and super fun class is a great opportunity for the students to let their hair down and boogie on a Friday afternoon!
We are also pleased to offer Aerial classes to all students who take a minimum of 1 Acrobatic Arts classes per week. Aerial Arts classes are a safe way for your little monkey to be upside down in a safe and controlled environment with highly qualified teachers. BPM on the Sunshine Coast offers Aerial Classes for kids in a state of the art Aerial studio.
Students can still commence their dance training even if they have had no previous dance experience. We offer single classes for students of this level but it is recommended that after an initial trial period you might like to consider one of our packages.
SYLLABUS WE OFFER
Jazz classes form a strong technical base and teach important skills such as turning, leaping and kicking. These fundamentals are accelerated and refined as the dancer continues their journey to become a strong technical and stylistic artist.
Learning the technique, discipline and strength that comes from ballet is essential to any aspiring dancer. Students follow the RAD syllabus and can take ballet examinations from Primary through to Grade 8 as well as the vocational grades from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2.
Tap aids in teaching musicality and rhythm, as students progress throughout the grades they learn a wide variety of rhythms and styles assisting their timing, musicality and stylistic awareness over all genres.
Lyrical builds on a strong classical foundation and is a flowing expressive style. Young children love dancing to popular songs such as Disney hits and learning to create different shapes and expressing emotion through movement.
Contemporary, similar to lyrical builds on a strong classical foundation however incorporates stronger sharper movements and a strong sense of musicality and dynamics.
